A Catch-22 on ice

As the Chief Canuck points out, it's often not the best idea to "awaken" Iginla by fighting him. And Vancouver did lose an otherwise great game, so perhaps there's some valid analysis there to explore.

But, if you have to lose to Calgary, you may as well score some cosmic points by taking on Jarome in the opening minutes of the first and then send GM Place into overdrive by embarassing him with the classic 'jersey-over-the-head" move as you land some lefts square on his skull:

To Iginla's credit, he did pop up from this and make the fight a draw even after Mitchell landed some obscene shots. I just have such a love for Flames in compromised positions.

Mitchell, I don't care what the press says, you're the #1 star for the night.

he really does have mutant game faces doesn't he? I used to mock that when he was with the Wild...now, sure, it's an asset somehow. I'll have to research that!
