In case you missed it, the NHL seized the canucks.com property (yesterday maybe) and squeezed it into its league mandated all too sexy web template to remove any iota of creativity and expression at the team level. Then again, from a seizure-inducing standpoint, it could always be worse...

Yeah, i don't mind the new layout. In fact, I love it. XD
I like the mandated one they have. It's quite attractive. But what really gets me is the fact that they are mandating Flash photo galleries, which make it a pain to grab photos from the site to post to the blog. And after I went to the effort of trying to give them credit for supplying me with a wealth of photos, too! Now I have to search Google to get something half-decent, while they localize their pics on their team sites. Blah.
knotwurth mentioning: I believe the canucks.com team will still keep saveable photos in their insider features. Don't take my word for it, though, but based on the new articles they have currently, they're still allowing a direct link to their photos.
Don't know how long it will last... but for now you'd still be allowed to.
Yeah, the insider's a pretty good source. Unfortunately I don't really feel like subscribing to the Insider for all 30 teams just to get at "exclusive" photos. :( (my hockey blog is on all of the NHL, not just the Canucks, despite the fact that I simply adore Vancouver!)
knotwurth mentioning: I'm not talking about the inside edge. I'm talking about "News > Insider" :3 The articles in that section has always contained "clickable" and "Saveable" photos, so I'm hoping that part of Insider stays.
I see the fan blog is gone. Or simply not working. That makes it hard for me to contribute! Then again Nonis needs to make some more moves to get me writing anyway!
Sorry, Rinslet! Didn't even know that link existed!
Hope it stays! :)
